Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0

With a view to ensuring uninterrupted and reliable power supply to the farmers of the state at a reasonable price and according to their convenience, the “Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana” has been launched under the government decision dated June 14, 2017 to electrify the agricultural power channel through solar energy in rural areas where village and agricultural power channels have been isolated.

With a view to removing the problems in the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini scheme and implementing it in mission mode, the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 has been approved by the government decision dated 08.05.2023.

Under this campaign, a target of generating about 7000 MW of solar energy by 2025 was set. As per the government decision dated 13.09.2024, under this MSKVY 2.0, the target has been set to install 16000 MW solar energy capacity by increasing the target set earlier. Thus, the objective of supplying electricity to 100 percent agricultural pump consumers in the state of Maharashtra during the day will be achieved.
