    5. Resilience: Prepare for emergencies (outages/supply disruptions) through robust planning.

    Functions:

    1. Policy & Regulation: Formulate energy policies, standards, and safety laws; enforce compliance.
    2. Infrastructure Management: Develop/maintain power plants, grids, and distribution networks; attract investments.
    3. Public Engagement: Educate consumers on efficiency, conservation, and safe electricity practices.
    4. Innovation: Drive R&D in renewables, energy storage, and smart grid technologies.
